Civics Week is here! All week long, we're excited to celebrate the importance of youth voice and our 2024 theme, "Democracy Needs You!" There are lots of great activities for learning about civic empowerment and the ways that everyone can participate in our democracy—regardless of age. The 2024 NYC School Survey is now open to all City public school parents/guardians, teachers, school-based staff members, and students in grades 6–12. Learn more about this year's Survey, and submit your answers by April 5, 2024!

After a citywide transition to remote instruction on February 13, all NYC Public Schools will be open on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. All programs and activities will be held as scheduled.

Due to expected severe weather conditions, all New York City public school buildings will close and transition to remote learning on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. All students are expected to log onto their online classrooms and engage with their school work from home.
