LOCATION:

IN PERSON and SITE VISITS REQURIED

110 NYC Public Schools in the Bronx

 

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

Licensed and appointed NYC Public School SUPERVISOR

 

SELECTION CRITERIA:

At least three (3) years of satisfactory experience within New York City Public Schools

Experience with developing professional learning materials and facilitating PD to support vulnerable student populations

Ability to manage crisis and deployment of personnel for crisis support

 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise field support for implementation of Every Child and Family is Known (ECFIK) program.
  • Set up meetings/onsite visits with program leads and Principals to help with the recruitment of more Caring Adults in each school in the pilot project.
  • Provide administrative support for the in-person professional development as well as asynchronous learning offered throughout the year.
  • Provide technical assistance for caring adults in logging their interactions with children and families.
  • Assist program leads with matching children housed in a shelter with a Caring Adult.
  • Recruit and develop a small group of community-based organizations (CBOs) to support families with SNAP, WIC, Food pantry support, public assistance, Cash assistance, Medicaid, Medicare, housing, and childcare and legal services.
  • Help curate resources in the community available through an array of city agencies and community-based organizations. 
  • Ensure Caring Adults are compensated for their work.

 

WORK SCHEDULE:

FALL 2024 – JUNE 2025.  Max 5-10 hours per week.

 

Hours up to, but not limited to the approximate number of hours listed. Additional hours may be granted upon the approval of the hiring manager.

 

SALARY:

Per Session rates as per the relevant union/organization of the advertised title (Collective Bargaining Agreement). Contingent upon funding availability and programmatic approval.
