SY24-25 PER SESSION VACANCY NOTICE # 1435: Teacher - Lighthouse Collaborative Learning Sites Professional Development Facilitator (Division of Educator Development)

POSITION:

Facilitator of Professional Development – Lighthouse Collaborative Learning Sites

Lighthouse Learning Site lead, Division of Educator Development

 

The Lighthouse Collaborative (LC) is designed to expand NYC Public Schools’ ability to “scale, sustain, and restore what works” through organized inquiry and sharing of promising practices. To achieve this, the LC fosters cross-school learning; identifies and shares promising instructional practices citywide; and develops educator instructional practice(s) to impact student achievement.

 

LOCATION:

Various school locations and otherwise citywide to be determined;

DED Central Offices: 333 7th Avenue, New York, NY 10001

 

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

Licensed and appointed NYCDOE Teachers

 

SELECTION CRITERIA:

Preference will be given to teachers from schools participating in the Lighthouse Collaborative program

Knowledge of Improvement Science, Internal Coherence, NYC Reads, NYC Solves

Experienced in delivering and facilitating professional development to adult learners and developing resources to support NYC Reads and NYC Solves

 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the supervision of licensed pedagogical personnel, once selected participants agree to:

●        Facilitate and lead Learning Sites

●        Create resources for citywide audience

●        Provide support and feedback connected to Lighthouse/NYC Reads and NYC Solves

 

WORK SCHEDULE:

Starting July 2024 to June 2025. Limited to 50 hours in a given year.

 

Hours up to, but not limited to the approximate number of hours listed. Additional hours may be granted upon the approval of the hiring manager.

 

SALARY:

Per Session rates as per the relevant union/organization of the advertised title (Collective Bargaining Agreement). Contingent upon funding availability and programmatic approval.
