POSITION:

Supervisor.

Continuous Learning, NIC Supervisor

Multiple positions available.

Division of Educator Development, Continuous Learning

 

LOCATION:

Various school locations to be determined

333 7th Avenue, New York, NY 10001

 

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • New York State Education Department certified supervisor (SBL) and appointed Education Administrator, or
  • New York State Education Department certified supervisor (SBL or SDL) and appointed building administrator, or assistant principal

     

    SELECTION CRITERIA:

    • At least one (1) year of satisfactory rating as a school principal or assistant principal
    • Strong attendance record
    • Interest in engaging in cycles of learning
    • Experience working in/facilitating teacher teams
    • Experience engaging in collaborative inquiry
    • Experience leading teacher teams
    • Commitment to attending all workshops in the series and coaching sessions between workshops

       

      DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

      Per session personnel will perform one or more of the following tasks under the direction of the appropriate supervisor:

  • Attendance at required professional learning workshops and coaching sessions
  • Communication with Central-based facilitators via email, phone, and in-person as necessary
  • Active participation in activities connected to the Continuous Learning program     
  • Collaborate with the Continuous Learning team in planning for the CL professional learning sessions
  • Collaborate with the Continuous Learning team in developing resources
  • Participate in focus group/feedback sessions

 

WORK SCHEDULE:

September 2024 – June 2025

Monday-Friday. Weekend work may be subject to approval by the Continuous Learning team based on the availability of funding.

 

Hours up to 48, but not limited to the approximate number of hours listed. Additional hours may be granted upon the approval of the hiring manager.

 

SALARY:

Per Session rates as per the relevant union/organization of the advertised title (Collective Bargaining Agreement). Contingent upon funding availability and programmatic approval.
