TEACHER
30 High School Law Cluster Teachers
Supervisor: Debra Lesser

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a permanent NYCDOE high school social studies license
SELECTION CRITERIA:
- Must be part of the law cluster program
- Must be a law –related classroom teacher (not a pull-out teacher) with a regular social studies class, law electives, PIG, government or American History that can implement JRC-law cluster programs.
- Must have experience with project-based learning.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and collaboratively on projects.
- Must be willing to attend PD sessions.
- Commitment to work during the agreed upon schedule.
- Teachers must have at least three (3) years of satisfactory (Highly Effective/Effective) experience within the NYCDOE.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teachers will attend PD sessions and implement JRC programs
- Attend and work student events in assigned roles
- Chaperone students to citywide JRC activities throughout the year
- Chaperone and prepare students for JRC culminating events
- Additional responsibilities as needed
WORK SCHEDULE:
October 10, 2024 - June 23, 2025. Weekdays/after-school and Saturday PD. Hours up to, but not limited to approximately 15 hours..
SALARY:
Per Session rates as per the relevant union/organization of the advertised title (Collective Bargaining Agreement). Contingent upon funding availability and programmatic approval.
