POSITION:
Division of Inclusive and Accessible Learning – Office of Related Services (ORS) - 2 Positions
This position is open to Education Administrators who work with ORS to supervise staff arranging services for students with IEPs.
LOCATION:
The activity may be conducted at CSE 1 in person or remotely at the discretion of the supervisor
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
CSE employees licensed and appointed in one of the areas listed above are eligible to apply.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
Selection will include:
- Expertise on utilizing provider assignment
- Satisfactory rating and satisfactory attendance throughout the school year,
- Demonstrated ability to develop, coordinate and supervise program and staff,
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with parents, advocates, agencies, and staff,
- Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures Manual, Continuum of Services, Regulations of the Commissioner,
- Knowledge of Chancellor's Regulations, Jose P. issues, and UFT Collective Bargaining Agreement regarding selection of per session staff
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Organization and supervision of per-session activity including,
- Selection and scheduling of staff,
- Coordinate and assign work
- Tracking the completion of service arrangement
- Responsible for the review and timely submission of accurate payroll of per session personnel
- Responsible for the reviewing staff responsibilities and expectations, this includes the rating per session personnel and completing the Individual Rating Report of Per Session Services (Form OP 150)
- Support with escalations for the DIAL Office, CSE and per session
- Support with hiring of psychologists, social workers and teachers
- Support with planning of staff development trainings
- Performs other related responsibilities and initiatives as assigned by the executive director or designee in accordance with their title and license and consistent with this posting.
WORK SCHEDULE:
As needed on or after October 28, 2024, to or before January 31, 2025[JW1] , based on budget availability
Weekdays/Weekends for no more than 3 hours a day up to 6 hours a week.
Hours up to, but not limited to the approximate number of hours listed. More hours may be granted upon the hiring manager's approval.
SALARY:
Per Session rates as per the relevant union/organization of the advertised title (Collective Bargaining Agreement). Contingent upon funding availability and programmatic approval.
